Pratesi
Remigio Pratesi’s passion for excellence established a tradition of exceptional craftsmanship passed down through four generations. More than a century later, love and quality continue to be the foremost legacy of the house.
Derived from rare, extra-long staple and Egyptian cotton, Pratesi’s linens are first woven at the finest Italian mills. They are then transported to their cutting atelier where generational experts hand cut to size. From there, the fabric travels to the embroidery ateliers to be needle-worked by the best embroiderers. Once complete, the linens are transferred back to the cutting atelier, where skilled cutters trim around the delicate embroidery as the final step.
Every Pratesi piece has an embroidered logo, and their signature inside finish is the elusive French seam. Pratesi’s embroidered bath mats and robe collars are double-faced so that the underside is just as beautiful as the top. Their Old-World methods are such that a master artisan embroiders just three flat sheets in an entire day’s work.
Such a process spares no expense, time, or effort in achieving the most artful and luxurious linens in the world.
